I began going to Jan because of poor body image and general unhappiness. We worked together for nearly six months. Our weekly sessions combined weight training with life coaching. This approach worked well for me because I was able to improve myself physically, mentally and emotionally. training allowed me to reshape my body; but it also improved my emotional well-being and increased my happiness. This gave me greater mental strength to tackle my body image issues. Jan designed a program of life assessment exercises to help me reach this goal. I am grateful to Jan for teaching me how to love my body, take control of my life, and learn how to create my own happiness. Several months ago I was an out of shape, sluggish "over 60" grandmother, having done nothing about my physical wellness in many years. Having been a runner for many years, I have always had great lower body strength. However, I could not say the same for my upper body...or my overall flexibility. I went to Jan specifically to work on these issues. With her help, I doubled my maximum bench press and added 4.5 inches of flexibility to my chronically tight hamstrings without feeling overworked.
